I watched TEDx videos on YouTube today. This one is interesting which I want to share. I summarized it as following:
Lesson of the day: Success fueled passion MORE than passion fueled success.
You create life by living it now. I was afraid to board on the wrong career, so I waste time waiting for the perfect one, the right one to come. Lesson learned, I have never met that one. Suggestion, just take any jobs now. You’re not likely to not to get stuck in the future. Because you will get stuck some days and you will find a way to escape it. If you don’t do it now, You’re are getting stuck now. Passion is not a job or a hobby. If you are busy looking for a passion, you will miss a lot of opportunities in your life. It is okay not to know what you will do in the next 5 years. Why? Because the most fulfilling thing in life is the one that surprise you. If you know every steps you will take, path you will take, everything is predicable and boring. Stop wasting your time searching for your passion.
Spend your time and effort solving your favorite problem.
Look for problems that need solving. Be useful, generous. People will hug you, people will pay you for it. And that where passion is, where your energy, efforts, need meet someone else’s need. That’s when you realize passion lives, know what you have to contribute. Just start doing, because to live a life full of meaning and value, you don’t follow your passion, your passion follows you.
